Lorenzo Martinez Jr. - CPE

Mr. Lorenzo Martinez, Jr. has over 14 years of experience in all aspects of preconstruction/cost control services with another 7 years of field experience in construction.
He started his career working in the family business of residential home building and remodeling in the Coastal Bend area. In 2003, an opportunity led him to join AG|CM’S estimating department while completing his AAS degree in Architectural Technology from Del Mar College. Thereafter, he continued his education while working full-time and raising a family to acquire his BBA degree in Business Administration Management from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. In 2011, he achieved professional recognition as a Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) through the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE).
Since 2003, he has participated in over 400 projects starting at the programming/conceptual stage through construction document phase and valued at over $6.5 billion. A considerable amount of these projects have occurred on various K-12 and Higher Ed campuses throughout Texas consisting of new buildings, renovations, athletic fields and even state of the art research facilities. Additionally, he has a variety of municipal and Department of Defense projects with the City of San Antonio, City of Corpus Christi, San Antonio River Authority, USACE, NAVFAC, AAFES and Texas Department of Criminal Justice to name a few. Responsibilities included detailed cost estimates, constructability reviews, value engineering charrettes, life cycle costing and cost reconciliation with contractors’ bids & estimates. Currently, he is responsible for managing the estimating/preconstruction department of its processes and facilitating effective collaboration among highly qualified team members and project stakeholders. This includes acquiring new clients and maintaining existing clients with enhanced customer service to achieve collective and realistic project goals.
Lorenzo lives in Rockport with his wife Linda and three children (Paige, Emma and Lorenzo III). Where they enjoy their time fishing, boating and going to the beach.
