Maricela Zapata, LEED AP, CCM

Maricela Zapata is an aggressive Construction Manager who has learned to apply her knowledge of estimating and architectural technology to benefit the construction progress in the field. As a Project Manager, she uses her working experience in construction and cost estimating in the review of plans and specifications for constructability and value engineering opportunities. She interfaces on a daily basis with the contractor’s superintendents by overseeing the actual construction through field observations and inspections, as well as reviewing submittals, shop drawings, associated documentation and tracking RFIs, ASIs, etc. Zapata holds an Associate’s Degree in Architectural Technology from Del Mar College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. She is also an alumni of Leadership Corpus Christi and Leadership Texas.
As a Construction Manager, Maricela’s responsibilities include: ensuring the Contractors Quality Control plan is implemented, attendance and run project meetings, daily interaction with contractors, engineers, and owner representative, pay draw requests, review of field alterations and change orders, review of lab reports/testing, and daily job site inspection/daily reports.
