AG|CM is a premier owner representation firm. We offer a full suite of advisory services in construction, project, and program management. Every service is designed with a singular focus—to safeguard owner interests.
Our team has experience as project managers, contractors, estimators, inspectors, architects, and engineers. With this cross-disciplinary background, we can speak the language of all stakeholders and align everyone to owner interests. We stay close to project details across phases, managing and advising from firsthand involvement. With our expertise, we can identify problems early in the process to protect the owner’s budget and timeline.
We are headquartered in Texas. Our offices are in Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Houston, El Paso, and San Antonio. Our services are available in Texas and across the U.S.

Where We Started
Derwood Anderson worked as a contractor alongside architects and engineers for years. He saw firsthand that owners needed someone who was dedicated to protecting their interests. In 1996, he founded AG|CM in Corpus Christi and brought owner representation to South Texas.
At the time, owner representation wasn’t a standard part of Texas construction services. As a result, AG|CM started out with cost-estimating, and then as Derwood built trust with clients, he showed them the value of having a project management firm to prioritize owner interests.
Derwood built a team of top-tier professionals who would deal fairly and honestly on the owner’s behalf. Business expanded across Texas and beyond what Derwood ever imagined. Client retention became a major part of company growth. In fact, two of AG|CM’s earliest clients are still with us today.
Our founder’s legacy is simple but profound in its impact: Derwood delivered solutions based on firsthand experience of a problem, and he trained his team to do the same. This approach still defines AG|CM today. We get to know our clients’ values and their vision for a project so that we can deliver owner representation with excellence.
