Culture

Employees First | Family Focused

Founders Derwood and Gail Anderson, who are still involved in the company, dreamed that AG|CM employees could succeed in their career by creating an environment of respect and reward, in return for quality work completed professionally and on-time. This, together with our founder's belief that if you take care of your employees they take care of the clients, is deeply rooted in AG|CM’s Employees First | Family Focused culture.

Local Leaders, Volunteers, and Residents

At AG|CM, our employees do more than just work in their local communities - we live there, we volunteer there, we're involved in the local Chambers of Commerce or School Boards. As upstanding community members, we care about the projects we work on, not just as the Owner's Representative, but as end-users as well.

Our organization also encourages community involvement. Across Texas, our regional teams meet regularly to volunteer at charities supporting our local communities. Whether sorting produce at the food bank, cleaning up litter at the park, or donating toys to children in need, our employees step up time and time again.

Professional Development

A big part of AG|CM's culture is continuous improvement. We are committed to developing, motivating, rewarding, and retaining our employees. As part of our commitment to personal and professional development, AG|CM offer incentives and resources to help our team achieve certifications and licensing, like CCM, PMP, LEED, CQM-C, CPE, AIA, and many other licenses and certifications.

AG|CM also offers an annual Leadership Development Program, where up to eight employees are selected to attend a curated multi-week program. Each LDP class ends with a capstone presentation in front of our executives covering how they apply what they learned.

AG|CM U is a monthly class taught by employees to share our collective knowledge of the construction industry, covering such varied topics as Contract Management, Current Market Conditions, and Electrical Systems. Our employees come away with a basic understanding of these topics as well as best practices and who to reach out to for more details.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

As an organization, AG|CM is committed to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in our workspace. We are proud of our culture that encourages innovation, teamwork, and a sense of togetherness and belonging for all employees.

In 2023 the company launched its women in construction committee WICCED (Women in Construction Committee for Education and Development). WICCED was founded to encourage, support and educate AG|CM’s female employees and provide a space for support, knowledge, networking, and topic discussions on diversity, equity, leadership, and inclusion. This is only one of the many ways we work actively to implement DEI initiatives within the organization.

It is the policy of AG|CM to provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status.
