Sarah joined the AG|CM team in 2023 and is based out of the East Region office. In her role as Marketing Coordinator, Sarah is responsible for AG|CM’s proposal submissions and supporting the company’s various marketing needs. Sarah began her career in the television news industry, working in Oklahoma and Colorado before switching to a career in the A/E/C world.
She is passionate about storytelling, branding, and creating visual content, and is an active member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). She is an FAA Licensed drone pilot and enjoys taking project photos and videos in addition to creating content for digital use. She holds a B.A. in Journalism as well as a M.S. in Digital Media Management.

How did you get into this industry? / Did you always know you wanted this career?

I began my career in TV news because I wanted to work on something different every day, and I found that I also enjoyed the fast-paced, deadline-oriented aspects of that industry. But I knew that I wanted something with better hours and flexibility long-term. I discovered that the A/E/C industry would allow me to continue working with things that I loved like photography and videography, and working on proposals would still give me the adrenaline rush of deadlines and beating the competition. It was an unexpected industry for me to end up in, but I am thankful to have found it.

What is the most rewarding thing about your role?

Seeing the direct impact my work has, whether winning a project for the firm or creating marketing materials that are printed and used. I enjoy designing materials and being creative, so getting to do that for a living is gratifying. I like walking away at the end of the day feeling like I accomplished something, and being able to impact business while still getting to do things that are fun for me is a rewarding experience.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?

I enjoy traveling and visiting new places! I especially love visiting National Parks throughout the US and seeing how diverse the landscape is in different parts of the country; my goal is to visit all of them at some point. I also love playing recreational softball, going to Astros games, running 5Ks, and spending time with my partner and our pets.
